Cindy is walking her pet goat Bango on a leash.

CINDY

Another nice day, don’t ya think Bango?

BANGO

Maaaa.

CINDY

They done said we would have a snow storm later this week.

They see Roy Raccoon walking up to them.

CINDY

Howdy Roy. How’re y’all doin’ today?

ROY

Doin’ well. Much obliged fer askin’. My wife’s takin’ the kids to see Star Wars. I’ve done seen it three times.

He looks at Bango.

ROY

Whose this little (pets Bango) guy?

CINDY

This here’s Bango. He’s our pet goat. He done eats the tall grass in our lawn.

BANGO

Maaaa.

CINDY

He says hi.

ROY

You can understand him?

CINDY

Yup. My family and I can understand goats. We had help from a book and we speak to him sometimes in goat talk.

Roy is amazed.

ROY

Really? Mind if I give it a try?

CINDY

Be my guest. I’ll be happy to translate.

Roy bends down.

ROY

Maaaa.

Then Bango makes a weird look on his face. Roy looks confused and bends back up.

ROY

What did I (looks at Cindy) say?

CINDY

Y’all said let’s paint the pickles red before eatin’ them.

Roy could not believe it.

ROY

What? I said that?

CINDY

That’s what Bango thought you said.

ROY

Let me try again.

He bends back down to Bango.

ROY

Ahem. Maaaaaa.

Then suddenly Bango giggles while covering his mouth his hoof. Roy bends back up.

ROY

Okay. What did I say this time?

CINDY

Y’all said I like wearin’ a tutu and play the accordion.

Roy still could not believe it.

ROY

What!? I don’t play the accordion.

CINDY

Yeah I know that but that’s what Bango thought ya said.

ROY

This is harder than I thought. I may have to look fer the book on how to speak goat.

CINDY

You’re welcome to borrow ours if ya want.

ROY

Much obliged but I’m headin’ to the bookstore to find a book fer my wife for her birthday so I’ll look up that too. I best be goin’. I’ll see y’all later.

CINDY

You too.

Roy starts walking.

CINDY

Least he gave it a try. How ‘bout (looks at Bango) we mossy on home and git ya some food?

BANGO

Maaaaa?

CINDY

Don’t worry we won’t paint a pickle.
